Since 2012, the nationwide public health campaign for the control of influenza has been implemented annually. The first action of this kind was launched by the National Health Service on the basis of a World Health Organization (WHO) initiative and implemented by PLANB. The aim of the campaign is to promote preventive measures in the population and to communicate advice and useful information in case of a disease.
The project is realized solely by large-scale support funds for Corporate Responsibility (CSR) activities and thus without government funding. Our task is above all the inclusion and acquisition of sponsors, media partners and socially committed actors.
Major public transport companies also support the campaign, as it is precisely the use of public transport that has a greater potential for contagion with influenza: it spreads especially in large crowds and in enclosed spaces. Therefore the prevention and information campaign is supported by means of large advertising areas for visualization provided by the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV), Budapest Airport, Volánbusz and the Transportation Centre of Budapest.

The nationwide public health campaigns were initiated by the ÁNTSZ (National Public Health and Medical Officer Service) Office of the Chief Medical Officer.
Top sponsors: Domestos, Baba Soap and the SPAR chain.
Collaborating partners: Baba soap, Domestos disinfection agents, Spar supermarkets, pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies.
